Store Manager

Palmetto Superfoods is looking for an experienced, reliable, and hands-on Part Time or Full-Time Store Manager to lead our Walnut Creek location.

We are a fast-paced, high-volume superfood and smoothie shop, and we are looking for someone who can take ownership of day-to-day operations, develop the team, maintain high standards, and ensure customers consistently receive excellent service.

Responsibilities

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading and supervising the store team during daily operations
• Creating a positive, professional, and accountable work environment
• Training and developing new and existing employees
• Ensuring new hires receive proper onboarding and hands-on training
• Creating and managing employee schedules based on business needs
• Monitoring attendance, punctuality, and employee performance
• Coaching employees and addressing performance or conduct issues
• Ensuring the store is appropriately staffed during busy periods
• Stepping in and working alongside the team during rushes
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards
• Responding professionally to customer concerns
• Monitoring product quality, cleanliness, organization, and food safety
• Managing opening and closing procedures
• Monitoring inventory and communicating product or supply needs
• Ensuring employees follow company policies, procedures, recipes, and standards
• Communicating regularly with ownership regarding staffing, operations, and store performance
• Identifying operational problems and implementing solutions before they become larger issues

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who:

• Has previous management or supervisory experience
• Has experience in restaurants, cafés, quick-service restaurants, retail, or another high-volume customer service environment
• Is dependable and consistently punctual
• Is organized and able to manage multiple priorities at once
• Can remain calm and make decisions during busy periods
• Is comfortable holding employees accountable while maintaining a respectful workplace
• Has strong communication and leadership skills
• Is proactive and does not need constant direction
• Is willing to work alongside the team rather than manage only from the sidelines
• Has flexible availability, including weekends
• Understands that successful store management requires both leadership and hands-on involvement

What Success Looks Like

We are looking for a manager who can build a store where employees are properly trained, shifts are adequately staffed, expectations are clear, customers receive consistent service, and the team feels supported while also being held accountable.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking ownership of a location and improving systems, people, and day-to-day operations.

Schedule
Availability during weekends and peak business periods is required.
