The Walnut Creek Education Foundation (WCEF K-12) is an essential funding partner with the Walnut Creek School District and Las Lomas High School, and a wonderful community partner to Broadway Plaza. WCEF K-12 Mission: To raise funds to support quality academic and enrichment programs and student services for all Walnut Creek School District and Las Lomas High School students, through a broad community-based effort. Wardrobe For Opportunity

Wardrobe for Opportunity works with disadvantaged women and men in both Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Wardrobe for Opportunity was developed to provide these disadvantaged women and men with a personal shopping service, allowing them to select suitable clothing for the line of work they are interested in entering. The people this organization assists have completed training programs and are ready to move on to the interviewing process. Volunteers needed at Meals on Wheels

Meals on Wheels is seeking volunteers to deliver hot, nutritious meals daily to homebound, frail, elderly persons in Walnut Creek, Concord, and Lafayette. For more information, call 925.937.8607.

The Bedford Gallery

The Bedford Gallery, located at The Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts, offers five art exhibitions this year. Each presents a different kind of art, a new way to look, to discover, to think. Sign up your class or group for a tour and bring them to the gallery. You'll be greeted by a docent who guides you through the exhibition in small groups and offers school groups the opportunity for a hands-on art project after the tour. The Ruth Bancroft Garden

Preserving as exceptional example of American garden design, a demonstration of the beauty and excitement possible in a water-conserving landscape. Hardly any plant in the garden is the common one.
