Wardrobe For Opportunity

Wardrobe for Opportunity works with disadvantaged women and men in both Contra Costa and Alameda counties. Wardrobe for Opportunity was developed to provide these disadvantaged women and men with a personal shopping service, allowing them to select suitable clothing for the line of work they are interested in entering. The people this organization assists have completed training programs and are ready to move on to the interviewing process. Volunteers needed at Meals on Wheels

The Bedford Gallery

The Bedford Gallery, located at The Dean Lesher Regional Center for the Arts, offers five art exhibitions this year. Each presents a different kind of art, a new way to look, to discover, to think. Sign up your class or group for a tour and bring them to the gallery. You'll be greeted by a docent who guides you through the exhibition in small groups and offers school groups the opportunity for a hands-on art project after the tour.
